Trains and more trains

Car, train, another train, bus then walk to work each day and backwards every night, it feels like I spend all day traveling, well 4 hours a day anyway, maybe it just feels like the whole day. It’s been cool and very wet so everything is lush and green. The first blossom is just starting to peek out from the bare trees as we whizz past the back yards and graffiti covered fences and this morning I spotted some cheeky green and red parrots on the power lines. It’s a different view taking me north to south through the the city literally from one side to the other, from the new bare suburb of Taylors Hill with its brick houses built to within centimeters of each property line thought the industrial belt with deserted factories and open fields to the city high rises, then out through the older gardens and villas of Caufield to an industrial park in Cheltenham. This really is a different and dynamic city reflected in my fellow passengers chattering in foreign languages and representing every culture you can imagine. Soon it will be light enough in the mornings and stop raining so I can capture a little of my journey.
